Too Many Authors comic #346: Endings
So.
I've been working on this so long that I'm no longer sure which parts of it are most noteworthy.

SO I'll just talk about why it took so long! I guess. Mostly it was that last row. It doesn't look hard, but that's because I rewrote it. Before that it was giving me a huge block.
...I think it does work even better this way, though.

Also - any bored mathematicians feel like trying to calculate how many floors tall the skyscraper MegaMan is standing on there is?

This is why occasionally, not knowing is a good thing. (Yknow, depending on how much WTF you can take to your system.)

Oh yeah, I guess I should mention that the title does NOT mean the comic is ending. Just the chapter.

FF7Kotrt
That's likely a good idea. I thought that for about 5 seconds until I realized that there's no way the comic was ending here.

littlebeast
Yeah, who would end something on a cliffhanger? Really.

Keybounce
I think starting a new chapter is a good idea. I've forgotten the point of the current one.

littlebeast
Sigh.

Okay, I should explain myself, at least.
...Right now, when I look through the archives, it seems like every other strip has something I need to retcon.
This, I note, is a Problem.

Now. I have, in the plotline immediately following this one that just ended, a way to perform ALL THE RETCONS I COULD POSSIBLY WANT! Which is... helpful. But the problem is, at the rate I've been going, I would end up just needing to retcon MORE things, which is, in general, NOT VERY GOOD.

So to avoid that, I'm now trying to plan out, at least roughly, the whole plotline of the comic. Not very thoroughly, but enough so that I can at least, you know, know what has to happen, and what has to not happen, and how people have to behave. You know, enough so that I can NOT HAVE TO RETCON.

...and yeah, it'll be a while. I don't expect to post anything more before the start of the next school year, and I wouldn't be surprised if it took me until the year after that.

So. Uh. Sorry about that, guys. But I'd rather make this good.

(It also might be possible that I'll come back and reboot the comic (keeping the original archive around, of course), which would probably be mostly a service to you, so you don't have to keep track of what things didn't really happen like they were shown; but I don't know on that one. I may ask which would be preferred as we get closer.)

If you want to see what else I've been up to...

Oh, and I'm half-considering making a TMA-based adventure on that forum. Is this the worst idea? The best? Somewhere in between?

FF7Kotrt
It's either the best worst idea ever, or the worst best idea ever.

So...
current plan is: reboot.
Believe me, it needs it.

Reboot planning is making progress, but it'll probably be a while yet.
In the meantime, I'm going to spiff up the site.

I had more typed up, but I lost it and I don't have the patience to remake it.

Yay, legal junk!
Megaman characters and their sprites are (c) Capcom, who I'm pretty sure doesn't care about sprite comics. However, even if they do, I'm protected by some law that allows parodyers to use the material they're parodying or some such.
Chrono Trigger & its sprites are owned by Square Enix. Or SquareSoft. Same difference.
Also, there may be other video game sprites in here. These are owned by their creators.
Anyone I crossover with owns their own characters, and I'm NOT going to list all of them here. That would be ridiculous.
